Suzuki GS500F cold starting trouble. A friend of mine recently bought an '04 GS500F as her first bike. It's a great bike so far, with low mileage, and it seems to suit her. One problem: It's a bitch to start, particularly as the temperatures dip. It turns over just fine, but it takes minutes of cranking (off and on) to get it to catch. If you see a spark at each plug when you turn the key on and off the ignitor box is OK and the problem might be the pulser coils on the end of the crankshaft or it might just be a poor electrical connection at one of the plastic connectors in the wire harness.
