If that advice wasn’t enough and your workshop in Bannerlord is still not making any money, then you might have a bug caused by mods. Make sure that your mods are up to date and that other people using the mods aren’t experiencing the same problem. I've tried each type of workshop, in the best locations, completely manipulated the market to the extent there is only 1 workshop in the entire world & done what I can to control the stock in the towns. 0 money made. They just stop working. Even if it's the only workshop of that type in the world, everyone suddenly doesn't need that product.
OP • 1 yr. ago Good day my fellow wanderers, I like playing with the economy in Calradia and I like making maps, so I made myself a few maps about the economy in Calradia dawg. I use them for planning my trading tours or finding good workshop placements. I don't come to brag about my maps empty-handed though.
This mod is a single-player mod working in both Story and SandBox. It should not be activated in multiplayer. It requires Mod Configuration Menu. The order of this mod doesn't matter at all past MCM and Native Modules, but for exemple: 1-MCM (and Dependencies) 2-Native (and other TalesWorld Module) 3-Other stuff you want. 4-Wide Town City. 5

It's the number of days since the Workshop "ran" if it's more than 0 it hasn't been running for however many days it says, likely because it's missing the required inputs for the type of workshop i.e. you have a pottery workshop and no village providing clay .. etc

They don't have 0 income, they make less than the wages of the workers! You can check the capital invested are nto your workshop, it will be depleting slowly. The way to fix that is to manipulate the local economy, i.e. make sure the prices for raw materials are low (by selling lots of it to the point were you barely break even) and buying up
The simple answer is, if you want to make money on a workshop, just buy a pottery workshop from a settlement with a clay resource. There are a few in the Battania lands and I always buy one in Danaustica. This is objectively true and easily observable in every single playthrough. Just try it. Nothing will make more money than a pottery workshop.
Back to M&B - it would make most sense to let anyone start business who has the money to do so, simple economy. It would also make sense to confiscate AT LEAST the profit while at work, in case of many workshops would make sense to seize the product (metalworks, tannery).
Want a brewery? Make sure the town has a village (or, better, villages) producing grain. Want a jeweler? Make sure there's a village producing silver ore. And so on and so forth. Every workshop has a product it needs to produce its own. If the towns villages don't produce what the workshop needs, it won't make anything, thus won't make money.
This is the Ultimate workshop guide on YouTube and you wont need another. I show in 4 easy steps how to find the perfect workshop for your campaign in Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord and make money This is also a good video. Both are relevant and were made including the most recent changes to the economy as if 1.8. - Auto-switch on death might cause a stackoverflow and a CTD, so prefer not to use it for the moment. Save often and take care. If you are upgrading from older versions and having problems: - try deleting all your RTSCam related config files (Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs\RTSCamera)

How To Buy Workshops to make Money FAST In Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. Beginners Guide To Work Shops for Easy Denars!💲 Basic Tradeing Guide:
It starts making like 90 gold or so initially, not great, but not bad either. Then it steadily decreases to the point where it's earning a measly 9 gold a day. I even buy a bunch of grapes en masse for super cheap in another town and sell it in Galend in hopes it'll help their profits; nope.
I find I make less money in 1.8 than I did previously with Workshops. On average about 100 per day less. So with four workshops I was making 400 per day less. Makes a huge difference in the size of army you can afford. On a side note I wouldn't play 1.8. Too high of a chance of getting a corrupted save. OSW6NXv.
