- Navigate to Citroen Shop -> Citroen Connect Nav -----28 Sep 2017: So after over a year of trying to get map updates for my TomTom sat nav in my C4 Grand Picasso in the UK, thanks to information I cobbled together here and on other forums, here is what I did to get my maps updated. (Thanks to daverave53 for pointing me in the right direction).
Do not hesitate to consult the following tutorial if you want to have an idea of the price of a battery: Citroen C4 Picasso 2 battery change price. To conclude : it is not possible to deactivate the energy saving mode of your Citroen C4 Picasso 2 because it is automatic. On the other hand, if it lights up regularly, it can signal a battery problem.
I understand Economy Mode and the reasoning behind it but am intrigued as to why it is activating post radio replacement and since the cold weather in coming will the repeated activation of Economy Mode cause battery problems? I only cover 9 miles per day and am worrying about flat battery
And John, disabling the ECO mode on my Picasso does prevent the problem for that journey only, because it resets itself every time you switch off. And unfortunately the disabling process is not that simple on the new Picasso because you have to go into the computer's vehicle settings to do this - which means you have to be stationary to achieve it.
BigJohnD (15 Apr 2020 : 08:10) , Markovsina (16 Apr 2020 : 06:55) Economy Mode won't prevent the car from starting. It's there to protect the battery when it's not 100%. As Gittos says, check the earthing and wiring. Thank you both. I have checked tphe wiring and there are no lose wires and the earth cables are tight.

thanks for the replies, ive charged the battery up now showing 12.6 volts and still same no ignition no mirrors unfolding just jumping straight into economy mode active. it was working perfectly day before this happened no signs of any problems and never had a problem before with the battery starting or any battery faults showing.
It doesn't make any sense. Eco mode only shuts off uneccisary electrical consumers, sidelights may be neccisary (depending on where your parked), if you notice the hazzard lights still flash but the telltale lights & noise stop inside because they are not needed.
It's the manufacturer's way of keeping their emissions figures "accurate". Mine is disabled permanently, but this is due to it having an issue and stalling on the restart. After a couple of stalled restarts the ECO stays off permanently until I turn it back on. Even after turning engine on and off and few times.

If I have everything off and then it does stop but if I turn the fan on then the engine restarts, that to me is madness and probably means I can only use ECO mode it the temperature range of 10 to 16 degrees the only times when I can have the window open.

Radu. - Start stop will work only if there is no high energy consumption load while engine is stopped. If using either front or rear de-misting functions, it's even written in the manual that, by default, start/stop won't be triggered. - Also, it's highly dependent on the temperature outside your car.
