I think the specified oil is 0w20 - however it will probably be fine with a slightly thicker oil - although Honda specify the grade for optimum performance and economy. I always use Mobil-1 in my 70k mile 1.6iDTEC, buy the best oil you can and an OEM filter.
Honda's VTEC Turbo engines, like the 2.0-liter in the Civic Type R, use a VTEC system on the exhaust camshaft to deal with all the extra air forced in by the turbo at higher engine speeds.
