Buy a really good AGM battery charger and charge the battery really good right now. You need to make sure the brand new battery is fully charged from the beginning. Your Cherokee charging system will not do it. Then charge the battery at least weekly if you don't drive daily. Parasitic draw is a battery killer.

There is apparently some confusion here. The OP (Original Poster) has a 2015 Cherokee KL. The Cherokee KL 2014 -2019 has only one battery, located in the engine compartment. The Grand Cherokee has two, if equipped with ESS.
